How To Buy Wedding Favors

How to buy wedding favors

When it comes to buying the wedding favors you will want to take many factors in mind. First, you need to always keep your budget on your mind. You will want to see how much you can spend on each guest for the favors to fit into your budget. If you do this first, the rest of your purchase should be easy. You will want to go to some of the local shops and see what they offer. If you want to have editable treats in the favors you may want to ask the local candy shop or bakery what it would cost to get so much candies or cookies. Obviously, before you go looking you need to make sure that you know the number of favors you will need.

Even if some haven't RSVP, you will need to have some extra for those unexpected guests. You may want to jot some estimates down and then find out how much it would cost you, if the bakers will, bundle them in tulle or if you want them in some trinket boxes or whatnot. You can save some money if you purchase the items needed and then put them together yourself. You can always have a party and invite your closest friends to help you put them all together for the wedding.

Another thing that you may want to do is to check out some online sites that sell wedding favors. When you go online you should expect to pay somewhere around $1-$6 for each favor. This can be very expensive so if your budget is big or if you are having a small wedding you can purchase already-made favors and they will look really nice because they are done professionally and they all are perfectly placed together. However, there are many ways that you can save money on the favors if you are willing to do some work yourself.

When it comes to buying bulk you need to know the count of the bag. Like if you are purchasing Jordan Almonds for the wedding the package or site will normally tell you how many people are served by each bag. When you purchase Jordan Almonds, it is traditional that you give each guest five pieces. You need to account how much and how many people you will need candy for.

If you are giving M & M's or other candies you will need to know how much, in cups for smaller candies and pieces for bigger candies, each guest will get. You will want to go by the serving size of each package, but for things like M & M's that are measured in cups you will want to get an extra bag or two just because you may underestimate and you can always find someone to take the extras, but it's not fun looking for extras the night before the wedding.

When you are buying favors, you want to make sure that personalization is included in the price. Sometimes it will cost you more if you want your names or the wedding date placed on a favor so you really want to read the fine print. Also, when you are purchasing your wedding favors, make sure that you have a little bit more than you need because sometimes the bags don't have their true serving size on the package because of miscalculations at the time of package.
